Edinburgh Festival Fringe Success comes to Newbury
Redcape Theatre presents
The Idiot Colony
New Greenham Arts, Wednesday 1 October, 7.45pm
Here's what the press said about The Idiot Colony...
"This intense, beautifully constructed piece of physical theatre lingers for days afterwards." ***** The List
"Endlessly inventive ... thoroughly disquieting. It's stunning; you can't help but catch your breath." ***** The Metro
"A delicate work of damaged poetry and slow-moving grace. Beautifully accomplished…a remarkable debut." **** The Herald
"It's inspiring to see a show that takes so many artistic risks becoming a Fringe hit." **** The Scotsman
"A picture of loveliness…luminous to look at… it has a sly sense of fun. One to catch before it slips away." *** The Guardian
"The Idiot Colony is an affecting and intelligently dramatised
consideration of a shameful and little discussed episode in British
medical history." **** Sunday Herald
"At turns beautiful and horrifying ...The performances are stunning"
**** OnstageScotland
"Extremely funny and, in recollection, utterly tragic." **** Fest

We are all very excited here at the Corn Exchange & New Greenham Arts at the prospect of getting a brand spanking new box office system!
Next week sees the beginning of the installation which will bring with it some exciting changes including a 'choose your own seat' functionality, no more booking fees and the online option of having your tickets posted out to you.
We have had our current system in place since we opened in 1993 so as you can imagine we are all really looking forward to having the new system installed and to all the great changes and benefits that will come with it. So to keep you in the loop here's a rundown of how the installation will affect you, our audience:

Box Office will be closed for general maintenance, but you can still book tickets online and over the telephone on 01635 522 733.
Thursday 21 August - w/b 15 September
There will be no online booking available throughout this period while we get our new online system up and running. But don't fear, you can still book tickets in person at the Corn Exchange or over the telephone on 01635 522 733.
Friday 22 - Tuesday 26 August
For these 5 days there will be no advanced booking available. However, you can book tickets in person or over the phone for that week's films. Contact our Box Office on 01635 522 733 for further information.
We hope these changes don't inconvenience you too much and that you'll bear with us while we make these improvements to our service.
